Thinking Spring on the Palouse

It is a cold and blustery day today. I see Mom and Dad are almost in the 70s–yes, I am jealous. Randy had a journalist and photographer ride with him this morning. He is being interviewed by the Washington State University magazine about the desperate need for large animal veterinarians. The journalist wanted Randy to order up a calving call for her. We thought that was pretty funny. He did arrange for them to tag along on a Brucellosis vaccination call. I think it was pretty cold for them. I will let you know when his mug hits the magazine rack! I am proud of him. He is a very good veterinarian whether he will admit it or not. He probably spent 3 hrs yesterday cleaning his truck. I try not to say too much, but it was a MESS!!! I know, the Burban is not spotless, but I have 4 little punks helping me get it that way!

Anyway, I am rambling. I am trying hard to remember what spring is like–warm winds, sunny days, flowers coming to life. I do have some spring bulbs starting to poke out of the ground. They are mostly still hidden by the leaf mulch. I told them it was too early to get them out of bed yet–they need to stay covered up for at least 3 more weeks. I spent some time looking through previous spring pictures on the computer. I wanted to post some pictures of spring flowers from my garden to help chase away the winter blues. I hope you like them!

  • Anonymous - Even though we have warm weather, I still long for the spring flowers as well. Thanks for the beautiful pics.
