Taking a little time…..

Good morning, peeps!  (at least it’s still morning here)

Just wanted to pop in and say that I’m taking a little time off from blogging for the next couple of weeks as I have a few chores that need my attention.

The blog may be down from time to time as well because this little place is getting a makeover!!!!  Woo Hoo!

I also wanted to give you a heads up that with the blog makeover, I will be changing up my pricing as well.  People with whom I have already spoken concerning shoots in the next few months, I will honor my previous pricing structure.  No worries… the changes won’t be huge.  But, since this is a business, and not just a hobby, I need to make sure I am charging appropriately for my time and talent so that I can continue to make beautiful photographic memories for you and your families.  I so much appreciate all the support I have received from this community over the past year!  Thank you!  You are what makes my business bloom.

When I’m back online…… I’ll be starting the search for members of the Class of 2013 (that’s you, Juniors!) to be my Senior Reps for the coming year!  So stay tuned!

In the meantime…. let’s try to be kind to one another…..

there’s too much cruelty and hurtfulness going around in the photography business these days….

I could write a whole post about it……. (I actually had one all written out in my head)…

…..but suffice it to say — when we tear each other down, we don’t raise ourselves to the top…

….but rather, we tear at ourselves as well.

Little by little we pick the compassion right out of our hearts until we are nothing but a shiny little shells with nothing inside…..

…. pretty on the outside, but not on the inside.

It’s time to remember that the Golden Rule is more important than the Rule of Thirds (or any other photography rule for that matter).

  • Southern Gal - The picture of you and your littles is so sweet. I’m gonna miss your photos here, but I’ll look out for the makeover. I need to hire you to makeover my blog. 😉 Oh, the things I could hire you for. On that note, I used Lr3 and edited some shots of Nora that I really, really like. I posted them today. I know they’re not up to most, but I love them and that’s what counts. Sorry about the pettiness going on. Hope everyone can learn to be kind. Eph. 4:32 One of my favorite verses. Hugs, Wendy.ReplyCancel

  • Linda - Oh no, I am going to be at a loss for something to read, hurry back Wendy. P.S. I like your cap, from where did that one come?ReplyCancel

  • Wendy - So Gal — I really LOVED your shots of Nora! Beautiful! So glad you are getting to use LR3. Is it coming easier?

Mom — the cap came from Ross. I’ve had it a couple of years 😉ReplyCancel

  • Mary - Oh Wendy, I just love all these images, but especially the one of you and the kids. So cute! xoxoReplyCancel
